All of a sudden the other day my tank rose by around 8 degrees, for no reason.

What could cause this sudden rise in temperature, as i have lost alot of fish because of it

maybe suddden surge in yer heater becouse sumtimes thy can take a while to kick in erm maybe yer home heating has been turned up thier could be lots and lots of reasons!! weather errrrr bactria reporducing rapidly causes heat!!

if you are using a heater, it sounds like the thermostat has give up the ghost. replacment seems to be the only option.
thought im not expert but 8 degrees seems a hell of a lot to come from multiplying baceria!! but nothing is certain in this world lol
