Help! Fish's Head Turning Green!?!

my female platy seems to have a greenish tint on her head. i dont know what is going on. is it some kind of sickness or fungus? help! is it just normal?

there is currently some ich going on in the tank.

I'm guessing everyone is passing your post by because we are pretty clueless about heads turning green. I have never even kept platys

What are you treating the ich with? Is it green or copper based? Perhaps it is picking up green from the anti parasitic--although I have not heard of it dyeing fish, some meds will dye tanks and decore.

It is the only thought I have, maybe the fish is getting dyed by the med.

Is the fish acting any different or showing any other symptoms? If not then just continue the treatment for ich and observe the fish for changes or symptoms--unless someone comes up with something else.

You could email the med manufacturer for information.

Reason i passed it by was an assumption it would be due to the normal colour changes that take effect in fish
Could be wrong however i certainly think it would be worth the OP re-posting this in the LiveBearer sub-forum just in case it is a simple case of colouring up or breeding related changes.

Although second thought was some type of medication which will normally fade given time......
