Rite i had a prawn in my tank for about 3 days it turned mouldy and rasied the ammonia to 2 ppm i took it out and added pure ammonia got it up to 5 ppm and ther is like lots of algae building up on filter side ect had pure ammonia in for about 3 days still not went down any how long should it take

Cycling usually takes around 2 weeks. Everybody's cycle is different. Can kick off quicker or take longer.
Algae forms if the light is on. Light isn't necessary for cycle. Or if tank is in direct sunlight.
To speed up get the temp to 30C and ph above 7 and better at 8-8.4

Hey hey slow down! :fun: Good that you have moved to ammonia solution and 5 ppm is spot on. Unless you have matured media in your filter (sponge from an already cycled filter) don't expect anything to start happening for up to a couple of weeks at the earliest.

First rule of 'cycling' is patience and remember there is no short cut (other than the a fore mentioned mature media) and until it's completed it's foolhardy to add fish 'cos they'll die and you will give up ending in another cheap tank on Ebay!
