Help! Cory Dont Look Good

Well woke up in the morning and he was found dead! Under 24 hours was what it took from see'ing the problem and then passing away! I wonder if I coulda did anything to save him..... Just not enough time :(
Water numbers are
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrate 10
Ph 7.2
As of this morning

I might take a look at barbels/whiskers on remaining cory's. If they appear short, stubby,or nearly worn down to nothing, I would get aggressive with gravel vaccum each week to possibly help remove anything from surface or in substrate that may be conrtibuting to possible bacterial infection considering this is where they spend the majority of their time.
Might also consider sand substrate.
Would see that fish are fed a wide variety of foods, as opposed to possibly one or two. Would see that foods aren't expired along with keeping the water from becoming too warm, Temp around 75 degrees F.
Hopefully no other fishes will exhibit similar syptoms.

I may be very wrong BUT,.................

i have a cory that is about 4 years old or older and a female, her belly has been like this for sometime, it's eggs in her case. When she last laid them it was gone. then it builds up again.

I take it there are no other signs of illness?

Looked like septicemia to me.

Bless Him.
R.I.P.
