Right now I have a five gallon tank that holds 3 Corey catfish and 1 Betta. 2 of the Corey’s are a few weeks old the other is older. A week ago I had a snail in the tank who died. Today my bettas fins seemed clamped. One of the Corey’s looked like it’s skin was peeling off and like it was having a seizure. I put it in a separate tank. The other newer Corey began to have to same seizure like symptoms an hour later. What the hell is going on?! I feel like I’m trying to do everything right! Heat, filter, live plants, buddies for catfish, and I can’t get it right!

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

The most common problem with fish is poor water quality.

How long has the tank been set up for?
Have you tested the water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH?
If yes, what were the results in numbers?

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for the next 2 weeks. Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it is added to the tank.

If you can post pictures of the fish that clearly show the issue, it can help. However, I am going to say it is probably a new tank that is cycling (developing the beneficial filter bacteria needed to keep ammonia and nitrite levels at 0) and you have water quality issues. The big daily water changes should fix that pretty quickly.

The following link has information about what to do if your fish gets sick. It is pretty long and boring but worth a read when you have some spare time. I recommend printing it out and reading it in bed to help fall asleep :)
