Hi...i spoke too soon.
Bubbles my sunset Platy has a tiny cotton type growth on his mouth...ive seen him eat and rubbed up against a rock once.
My Blue Platy Lewis is constantly by his side chasing him around..I've heard this on here a few times..not really paid attention though.

One of my deep orange Platy's also looks poorly...he has a clamped top fin and is very quiet on the bottom of the tank, he hovers, so no probs getting about.. Saying that..he is now swimming around. But he kind of gasped mouth open wide. Then breathes fast for a few breaths then stops...

Just tested the water.
Amm = 0 Nitrite = 0 (Nitrate was 5 this am and ph 7.2 ...bit lower than usual)

What can i give them...also my hossie tank still isnt cycled...what do i do if they need seperating???

EDIT..he's gone to the bottom again (Tiger - deep orange platy)
EDIT EDIT....after looking on google seems both maybe connected as Tiger has iridescent patches of blue on his side (saddleback)
it says i can use melafix....can i add it with Jackson (betta) in the tank?

Yes you can add it

Some meds you can't use for certain oddballs, elephant nosed fish foe example

But betta's will cope fine

Just follow dosage, and if it were me i'd give the tank a good clean (not saying it's dirty or anything, just get it tip top for a med dosage)

So with a nice fresh tank change the tank waters nice n fresh, and to me the meds might have more effect

thank-you.. i took out my carbon pads from my U2 and i did 1 drop of Melafix to 4 drops of water ratio it said 5ml per 38L, but as i had no answer at midnight i only added 1 5ml (so around half a dose for my 66L )
They all survived the night...Tiger is more spritly and Bubbles mouth fungus looks slightly better. Shall i continue with this dose?
I offered a few mini pellets this morning to see if they would eat..and they all had some. Hope they are ok. I will do a big clean up and W/C tonight before dose.

You can double/tripple dose Melafix quite happily so dont be too shy when you add the dose. I personally also dose Pimafix at the same time as Melafix as they are built to work together. Its been absolutely ages since i've had to treat any sick fish (touches wood) but those two have always worked fine for me. Gluck! (Personally i wouldnt bother cleaning the tank glass, just suck out the poop, they less rubbish floating around the better)

ok..just i read the bettas are melafix sensitive..i also have corydoras in there too.
Tank smells nice now though...

That will be the tea tree oil. :) Thats basically what melafix is, you do have to be a little careful with it as it can burn fish, maybe my tripple dose was a bit of an exageration, just keep up the water changes and redose.
