Help! Black Ghost Knife Fish In Need Of Attention!

I'v done a 45 % water change now, the meds were only in there for 1 day before he started not being well. He was fine, he had white webs on his skin btut he was swimming around and eating until I put the blue stuff in.

my tanks a 15 gallon tank 150 litres.

I have 2 pink kissing guramis, 4 dollars and 2 other smaller guramis whos genus I do not know. As well as my ghost knife. He was fine until I put the blue stuff in it's just all gone bad since I put it in. theres only him thats reacted badly to it tho. I'v dropped some mineral salts in there to see if that helsp improove him but I usually keep my water quite brakish any ways because the knife fish prefares it.

Your tanks overstocked for a 15 gallon.
I would think of rehoming some fish.
I would get your water tested.
The webs on the fsih when you got him did they look fluffy.

I have had this fish for over 2 years ^-^! This is the first time he has been sick I havn't added anything new of late I'v done regular water changes I just don't know why he's suddenly gotten sick. which is why I am worried about him. Captain hook started out as a 3 inch black ghost knife he's now about 12 inches. He's my fave fish and I'm just looking for a reason why he's sick and what I can do to solve it cause he has never been sick before.

The tanks to small for him and if water quality not good they soon get sick.

Can you isolate him as I would try a bacterial med on him.

I can't isolate him I don't have a second tank. He was just fine until I put the blue stuff in the tank.

Some fish don't tolerate parasite meds to well.
I would try the anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
I would also pick some pimafix up.
It could be columnaris and in the uk you use myxazin and pimafix, or pimafix and anti internal bacteria med by interpet.

Take a sample of your water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down for you.
You might be better off getting another filter with your stocking.

well I'm gunna ask if he will take my dollars I'v had them the longest and they are the most boreing fish ever. He should take them they are pretty big fish, hopefully that'll free up some space.

My filters always been good to me I have a fluval 4 + and a fluval 2 + which I can run beside it if it needs it.

Can you isolate him as I would try a bacterial med on him.

with that said if you dont do anything fast you will lose him an i always just use salt. thats what myfriend did with his brown knife

Is Captain Hook your BGK. If he is 12" he is way to big for a 15 gallon tank. I would guess if you test your water parameters you will find that may be part of the problem.
