ok today i went to the lfs to look at a ballon belly molly, to calm my tank of three fish down. the lfs store gave me a bonus fish, a baby molly. now i had a one gallon all set up and at the moment it is filterless. i think thats i good thing for the little guy. i also already had first bites baby fish food because i have bought small bettas before that were to small to eat pellets.
what else do i need to keep this baby molly alive, i really want to help this little guy out. the lfs guy gave him to me because all of the other siblings were eaten or sucked up. please help me raise this little guy.

A 1 gallon tank unfiltered? 5 litres isnt much for a molly-Youll need some sort of filter very soon-what about your cycle to cope with the fish waste.?

Hi,
how big is your main tank?
can you not buy a breeding net and float that in the main tank for the fry/ thats what i do, i also add a few plants for cover.

The breeder is a good idea because it makes caring for the water easier. Otherwise you could just do a 50% water change every few days to keep the ammonia in check until the baby molly was big enough to go into the main tank.

how long until the baby is big enough to enter the tank

When it's bigger than the biggest mouth in the tank. And don't underestimate how big some mouths can be! Depends what it's tank companions will be. I have a molly only tank and I don't seperate any more, the fry are born and raised along side the adults and they do just fine.
