so i came home looked in my female platies cycled 5 gallon nursery tank and saw around 16 fry looking up at me, so i took the female out of the tank. fed the fry a little bit of smashed egg yolk and went to bed. i woke up fed did a water change and added the right amount of de chlorinatoer cuz it was tap water ( my tap water only has alittle chlorine in it barley none i added the stuff to be safe ) and went dowstaris, i then came back up ten mins ago to see 14 fry on the bottom of the tank not moving and i watched them for like 7 mins some would swim for 2 seconds then fall back down to the bottom. only 2 fry were swimming around fine

also the ammonia and everything else are fine

so what is wrong! plz help me i really want them to live!

Was that the first water change you did using that dechlorinator? I'm not really sure what the problem is but from what you've described the only thing that's changed in between them being fine and not fine is the water change?

Are the 2 that were OK still OK? How did you do the water change? Maybe it stressed them out!

i did it as any other water change with my other fry batches i have had i used a siphon.

and no now only one is moving but barley

You need someone more experienced than me then I'm afraid! Sorry I can't help but it seems you've done everything right and if the ammonia/nitrite/nitrate are all 0 then stress or disease are the only things I can think of.

if there is hardly any chlorine in you tap water, and you put in the correct amount of de-chlorinator for that same amount of water that has more chlorine, the extra de-chlorinator can make fish be a bit queezy for a bit if you put in to much or there is just to much and thats enough to make the little fry woozy
