Hi all,

Figured i'd say hello as i'm sure at some point i'll need to ask for some advice from you all. I currently have my first tropical tank, a Fluval Edge 23l. and think its looking great.

currently i have:

1 Betta
2 Otos
3 Amano Shrimp
2 Assassin Snail

and at the moment everyone seems pretty happy which is nice

Got a mix of artificial and real plants in there to make it easier to keep clean, and so far (touch wood) the only problem i'm having is the the pH keeps creeping up but nothing a water change isn't keeping under control.

any opinions?

Hello and
welcomeani.gif
to TFF! Hope you enjoy it here.

Your tank looks quite lovely! Very pretty betta you have, does he have a name?

The otos are a bit worrying, as they'd be better off in a larger tank (45x30cm) and groups of 6+. HERE's more information on them.

You may want to lower the water level just a tad for the betta. Do you have any pics of the amanos?

Oh, and what do you mean by your pH keeps creeping up? What is your tap water pH (after leaving it out for 24 hours)? And what is your tank pH? Are you using a liquid test kit?
