Hiya,
I have just joined was very hard trying to find the create new post button lol i spent ages wondering how you do it but anyway im on :)
I saw 1 black neon tetra fry in my tank today and I have it in a seperate breeding tank but I was just wondering if you had any instructions in caring for fry and is it odd to only find one?
Thanks x

The liklihood is that the parents of the fish ate all of the eggs before you even knew they were spawning. So there would of been many eggs which could of resulted in many fry. Your fish will breed right under your nose all the time without you knowing.

To care for the fry it will need live foods. Newly hatched brine shrimp seems to be common amongst the breeders here. Fry normally need their own tank to be raised in, but because it's only one fish it would be pointless. Just see how it goes in the trap, maybe add some sort of moss or floating vegetation so it can cover itself from the light.

Good luck.

James.

i thought that may have happened thanks for the advice i was also wondering how you tell how old it is? and which of the tetras the pair are that bred if thats possible ?
