Hello,

I got my tank for xmas and followed all the guidelines for setting it up. After about 2 weeks I introduced my first fish - 2 really cute little platies. After another 2 weeks i got a siamese fighting fish. All seemed to be fine, but then one of the platies started to go all funny, and couldn't swim properly - the next day she was dead - gutted! The other one seems to be fine, but how can you tell why they die?

If you have cycled your tank properly then get a water test done or buy a kit and do one yourself. I use Master Test Kit by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. £20-25. Also have you been overfeeding (the truth now!!!)....sorry, hello and wecome
