Hi everyone
I've had few tanks in the past and am just getting back into it, I treated myself to a new tank a jewel 300 Rio. I did have a few reservations about it with the built in internal filter but I ended up getting it anyways as I get a decent price on it.
I've decided to go tropical with it and have shortlisted a few species to house in it. Just one question I have please and I hope someone can advise me rite.
I'm going to use pool filter sand as substrate and I wanted to know how many 25kg bags I'd need to cover at least an inch of the floor.
Look forward to learning and sharing with you all
Cheers
Adam

I can't answer your sand question, sorry. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome!

You should generally have a pound of substrate per gallon (with converted units, your tank is around 80 gallons and the bags are around 55 pounds). However, using this rule, you usually end up with two or three inches of substrate, so I'd stick to one bag.
