:/ well i want to sell my 26 gallon tank and stuff which house 1 sucking loach (he had one big house :p) but what iw ould like to know is... could sucking loaches survive in coldwater?

yes, they should be able to survive in an indoor coldwater tank fine as long as there is good filteration. I have seen shops selling them as coldwater sucking loaches anyway..

Ben

thanks people ill now transfer him in a bag for about an hour or two to me coldwatr so ican clean his tank out :p

Don't put him in a tank with other fish though, especially goldfish, as chinese algae eaters are nasty fish most of the time and will attack other fish and suck their slime coats and eye balls out- goldfish just aern't fast enough to have a chance against a CAE.

oo yer sorry in my LFS they have chinese algae eaters look like little round plec things i knwo name of them but i cant remember

Yep, my LFS sells Hillstream Loaches as "Sucking Loaches" and CAEs as "Gold Sucking Loaches".

If they are hilstream loaches:

Then they are only borderline tropical and will be fine in a unheated tank.
