I thought I would pop in here and type a quick "Hello" and introduction before perusing the many different threads that have already caught my eye.  Up until a few weeks ago, I was on the "no way" list of ever owning fish. . . my experience was either admiring the extravagant tanks I knew I could never maintain (let alone afford) or fair fish other people won that died a couple days later despite my best efforts.  Otherwise, meh.

That is, until I discovered the Bubmblee Goby, and became aware of how fascinating fish can be.  I adore anything bumblee related, so it came as no shock I was drawn to them, and I'll admit, most of my thoughts were on "adorable." As I began reading more and more about them to be sure I could give them a good home, proper setup, care, etc. and about their behavior. . . I knew I HAD to have them when I realized I *could* pull this off if I was careful.  Still, I know I don't know the half of what I'm getting myself into, so I wanted to join this forum since it seems to have such a wealth of knowledge I can continue to learn from.  My "journal" of sorts is started, I am looking into a tank setup for sale, and I*hope* I'm ready come the end of April when I move.  I'm not one to jump into something clueless so this will give me time to think and plan, but I also do not have patience and know I'll want to start on the tank when I get the keys!  Guess we will see how things work out

Hello and
welcomeani.gif
to TFF! Glad to have you here.

HERE is some info on the bumblebee goby, in case you hadn't found that particular site yet.

Since you like bumblebee I thought you'd like seeing these two as well: Asian Bumblebee Catfish & SA Bumblebee Catfish

Be sure to have a read of the fishless cycle HERE as well.

I look forward to reading your journal and seeing your tank progress.

Bumblebee gobies are very tricky fish. Be sure to read everything about them then weigh in on what you should do to maintain them.

Welcome aboard! :)
