Hello Everyone - My name is Dee.

I'm new to the forum but not new to keeping tropical fish.
I have been browsing for just a few minutes and already I've learned something new so I am looking forward to learning lots more.

Is there anyone else from NZ here?

Welcome to the forum Dee-Dee.
We do have a few others here from NZ along with others from Australia and Canada and we even have one of our MODs from South Africa. This is an international forum although a large fraction of the members are based in the UK and the US.

Hey Every one - Thanks for the welcome!

Fish Nutter: I'm in Christchurch

ZoddyZod: NZ species are cold and range from trout size so not really suited to a home tropical tank. Our rarer native species are protected and as far as I know can only be kept by licenced aquariums. The closest the family get to native fish is catching kahawai, during the brief Kahawai fishing season, off the Canterbury Coast when they are running - Good eating if you "tart them up" but we usually catch and release.
(I know, I know... how can I hunt fish!)
