Hello From Kent

Hi all my name is Dave I'm new to keeping tropical fish but have always admired other peoples tanks when I've seen them.

I have been reading through this forum to try to increase my understanding of all the tech stuff, theres more than meets the eye to this hobby

Currently cycling a new 48l fishbox that will be a gift to my youngest (10 years) daughter next week, I am still trying to figure out exactly what fish we/she should start with.

I would recommend you start with something like some Guppies or a Betta, then slow climb up the tropical fish ladder into more difficult fish territory. I've found Guppies and Bettas are always a hit with young kids. Whatever you do, just dont buy some Goldfish!

Hi Dave you will learn a lot here, I have, this is something I have returned to a couple of years ago but had not kept fish for thirty odd years when I was a kid. I am also in Kent (Swanley) good luck mate
