Hello Everyone

This looks like such a friendly site. I hope you don't mind complete novices who last had a fish about 35 years ago !

I am starting with a very small aquarium - no heater as I thought start basic and work up !

Anyway it has got started so I will be going for a few small non-tropical fish in a few days.

Welcome highlander. I was away for a while myself but can't say I held out that long. Missed a few years between when the kids were in grade scholl and when they got out on their own. I got back in with a vengeance a few years ago and there is no turning back now. I can certainly understand other priorities taking over for a while. You will find the reasons people do what they do has changed quite a bit but what we did way back when has not changed much. The real difference is that now they have reasons for what we thought of as thumb rules back then like slowly stocking a new tank.
