Hello And A Simple Question ......

Hello all. I'm new to this forum & fish keeping in general. First off I'd just like to say, well ..... HELLO! .
My question, I have a 120 litre rank and at present u have 9 lemon tetras, 5 head & tail light/beacon tetras and 1 albino plec. I have been offered 8 tiger barbs for free and would really like them however you know what my question is ..... Will the tiger barbs go with my tetras?
I'm sure this gas been asked loads if times & I have had a quick look but couldn't find the answer hence my post.
Would appreciate any advice from no doubt you knowledgable people on here! .

They should do, I don't see an issue there. The barbs can get a bit nippy with other fish but provided the barbs are kept in a large enough group, and the other fish are quick enough (which tetras are) to avoid them then everything should be hunky-dory!

Any pictures of your tank? How long have you had it?

Thanks for the post Tom. I've been keeping fish for around a year in my 90 litre tank which my gf has now got and I've had my 120 litre running around 3 months.
I have put photo bucket links below if my tank, one is daytime pic & two evening pics

Not sure if the pics have worked but hey ... I tried!!!

Hopefully all will be OK with the tiger barbs as don't want them to start attacking my other fish as they still recovering from an internal bacterial infection, or so I've been told.

Looks pretty neat you've got some real imagination in that tank! I like that you've put the light fixtures inside the ship-wreck ornament and focused upon it.

Tiger Barbs are fantastic fish when kept in a good sized group. They do not bother any of their tankmates in my sig pic.

Yes that's what I've read hence why I'm considering them & they are great to watch its just I've read info before & being wrong or mis-informed hence why I ask you experienced people on here!! .
Just don't want me little tetras getting tortured but so far so good!! .

Yes Tom, did put a bit of thought into tank (which is hard for me!! Lol). Pics don't really do it justice in all honesty but it is a blue & white mini air curtain in the ship, the volcano has a coloured air stone in it & the LED spot lights tho I can't really get the colours to come out in the pic but hey, it gives you an idea!!
Is there a section on this site which shows other peoples set-up's?
