Hi All, just joined, thought i'd say hello. I've just returned to fishkeeping after a couple of years break. Bought a Fluval Roma 200 at the weekend second hand, complete setup with fish so ive gone to having no fish to 20 in a planted tank in the space of an afternoon! Excellent idea but back breaking having to carry 80 litre bins full of matured tank water down a flight of stairs!
Sorry to tell you this, but you don't really need to save the water. Most, if not all, of your beneficial bacteria are in the filter, not the water. Good job though!
