Hello, Well as being on this site it may be obvious that I am interested in fish, I am a young breeder (15) of tropical fish and I enjoy this hobby a lot.
I Know there are quite a few people who are against Young fish keepers and do not like them very much, Well for those of you i hope to get the chance to meet you so i can prove you wrong.

I currently have 6 tanks.

And these fish breeding:
Kibensis (pelvachromis pulcher)
Marble angelfish
Guppies (assorted)
Swordtails (neon green (black))
Swordtails (Blue)
Swordtails ( Lyre tails)
Praecox rainbows
Rams
Convicts
Corydoras arcuatus XL
Cordoras swartzi
Platies (assorted)
Wrestling half beaks

And I'm Trying to get My silver angelfish and danios to spawn and a few others.

Also Looking For a female for a cockatoo cichlid If any one has one....

I Hope I can contribute to the forum.
All the best
Robert

Hi Robert,

It's good to see you will be trying to disprove some peoples misconceptions.

Though i cannot blame these peoples prejudice's as it is true that most young fish keepers manage to virtually slaughter most of their tropical and cold water (Poor goldfish) fish in a matter of days with the 'add water and fish' strategy that most young people apply when unwrapping their 'off the shelf' fish tanks!

- Thank god some of us have found this website by deciding to do research before getting a tank and also have a clue before visiting like you :)

I see your point about beginners sometimes slaughtering there fish but I partly blame some shop keepers as they do not explain or sometimes mislead customers weather intentionally or not. Yes research is always a good idea, but its not always enjoyable, I started off with one tank and they keep multiplying.

I remember hearing this conversation
Buyer: i would like some of those guppies 2 males and 3 females.
Seller: OK ill just go get a bag
Buyer: How do you know which is males and females
Seller: Well they're in separate tanks

welcome to the forum there are quite a few young breeders on here including myself although i only breed guppies and BN plecos, nothing as good as you. :hi:

Hee hee well it kinda took off on its own... I've always wanted to breed bristlenoses. I don't think its that much about being good, its more about luck.
What guppies do you breed ?

your not the only young fish breeder here, and ur definatly not the youngest here. i'm 14 now, i breed guppies too :good:

You seem to have alot of fish going. i'm sure we would all like to see some pics of ur tanks ;)

Well this website has been my salvation but luckily i was clever enough to know not to buy on impulse even before i found this :)

:hi: I like to see other young people in this hobby that don't just put a fish in water. I am 17, but I started when I was 15. I guess I'm a "plant breeder". I will breed guppies once I build up the 7-8 tanks it requires to properly breed a strain. I hope to breed HB pastels.

When did you all start, I was brought up with fish around and really started to take to breeding, after guppies when i was 12- 13. Before that i just kept fish.
