Hi. I’m fairly new to keeping fish. I have a 20 gallon tank full of plattys and a pleco and they were doing awesome, however reproducing very quickly.
I bought a new 50 gallon tank with a great canister filter, Carib sea substrate and an expensive fluval light that was recommended for planted tanks.
I let it cycle and began to add the plattys a few at a time. I now have in the big tank 3 guppies and lots of plattys, a Siamese algae eater and ghost shrimp and cherry shrimp and blue shrimp (which I’ve not seen since I added them) plus I have a very calm Betta
As well as 3 nerite snails, and 4 assassin snails. In the 20 gallon tank I have plattys, 3 guppies, 2 pleco, 2 nerite snails and a loach.
plus it’s full of hornwort.
I love my fish, but I’m having lots of problems with the plants.
