Hehe Pygmys Arrived!

I got my RC Shrimps from the same guy, he seems like a good seller. Another chap I`ve bought from is ste12000. I was having no luck with obtaining female GBR`s from my lfs so I sent set a msg and he sent me 2 lovely little females.

Ebay is brilliant sometimes :good:

I wish you could all have seen one of my Honeys when I first let the Pygmys out of the bag. She went up behind one of them and kinda nudged him with her feeler (or tried to) and then kinda looked behind her like "oi, can anyone else see this". So funny!

ANYWAY, I THINK they're ok. One of them has a couple of red marks on his side which looks more like an injury to me thatn anything nasty *prays*. I guess they have had a bit of an ordeal. Is there anything I can/should do to make sure it heals and help prevent an infection? Just water changes?

P.s thanks for your replys everyone, will try and get pics tomorrow :)

I purchased from ste today, I think I really annoyed the hell out of him because I couldn't make my mind up, i've purchased two Apistogramma Agassizi (a pair) for my tank :) can't wait to get them! £26.50 with delivery so not too bad tbh, especially as i'm on an island and no one locally stocks these.

Raaa, right they're all hiding a lot (normal?) btu I managed to get this one pic of one of the new ones. This one seems the most confident (including out of the old Pygmys) for some reason

Thanks! I'd really love to get some decent pics of them but they're so fast and I don't have the patience. Me and Gouramis are about the same speed (lol) so I've managed to with them.

See, the common names. Burmese Border Loach is that correct information? As I *edit* HAVE some Botia Kubotai And i've always referred to them as Burmese Border Loaches. Am I wrong, website wrong or is it commonly used for both the Botia Kubotai and the Schistura mahnerti? Just out of interest.

I've also got some Pygmys, and im dying to get more of the little dudes!

Cheers, James. :good:

Question for anyone by the way! B-)

Yeh they look nothing like mine do they?! They're quite cute though, are they nice fish? It's possible it's used for both - they were actually labelled in the shop as "Red Tailed Zebra Loaches" which is not on the common names list at all. I've also heard them called a Red Tailed Sand Loach. This is why it'd be so much easier for shops to label things with their scientific names, but then the problem becomes correctly identifying them, and remembering what they are to do the research on them (if you're that kind of fish keeper - most people aren't!)
