Hi, as my community set-up consists of mainly small fish I went for the heavily planted look. I like to see my fish swiming in and out of the plants rather than a 'busy look' out in the open.

So....your views then. Is it OTT or do you like it?
(Please don't suggest sand, that is up there with winning the lottery....one day!)

I like it...but yet i don't really, i think you need taller plants in the back then have maybe shorter ones in the front instead of tall ones everywhere

Yup.....in the front there are a few short clumpy ones. Have just done a major bit of gardening and clipped all the old growth at the back. Usually they are breaking the surface at the back, and will again in a couple of weeks. Hey, been looking at your tank too......ha ha ....small world!

i personally like it. it attually looks good with those plants. i always get fed up with short plants at front and all at back in my tanks, heavly planted tanks are ace.

some of them plants look non aquatic to me, like the one with the red tinge and the grassy on towards the back, cant really see that good from the pic though.

Looks good, nice and bright and very healthy. I like tanks that have lots and lots of plants looks better imo. I think they also look better with the plants of same species in larger clumps.

They look like a dracaena (spelling?)plant. They grow really well on windowsills, not so great in tanks. non aquatic.

Yep its lookin good, but i would put a couple of smaller plants at the front.

Ok so no expert on plants :dunno: Got the ones in question from lfs some time ago and they seem to be doing ok. Bright with new growth showing after several weeks. Only 2 quid a go so we'll see what happens, least if they do die I'll now why

I like it, but compared to tanks that I've seen heavily planted, that's lightly planted lol, mabye the plants are just small... I can't tell really, that pics a bit small ^_^

i really like it. what makes it even better to me is those logs or tree stumps. i'm looking into planting plants in my 29gallon soon, and i'm trying to go for something like that as well. good job :good:

I like it, but to improve, take the tree things out and maybe gat a black baground.
Sand would look nice too :shifty:
