Heating A Plastic Tank

how can you heat a plastic tank?

i got given a free plastic tank, and i need to heat it and ive been told heating it can be an issure by my LFS

any help?

What are heater brackets made of? Plastic. It will be fine.

It'll be fine. The melting point of plastic and the temperature you'd be keeping tropical fish at are worlds apart.

If you were really concerned, you could go for coldwater or temperate fish which would be happier at room temp.

yep - the transitional melt point of nearly all plastics is over 400 F with some at nearly 500 F.
It will be fine.
