Heaters

Hi everyone

I am a newbie of about two weeks, I have just set up a small tank of 18"high by 12" by 12".

I have about 6 plants of various sizes, A fluval 1 filter and a 50watt Hagen heater both running for about a week and a half now.

I have the heater set at 24c 75f, I have a internal thermometer it shows 81-86f can someone advise me why this is, I am thinking of buying a new thermometer.

i dont actually no why it is doing that but i dont no if the thermometer is set differently or it is just some thing rong with the thermometer

I have tried a superfish 25 watt heater previously thats why i purchased the hagen has stated in my posting.

thanks for replying, puzzling isnit, I will try another thermometer
