Heater Recommendations

Can anyone please recommend a good thermostatically controlled heater. I do have a rena smart heater in my old tank and have never had a problem with it. I have just set up a brand new tank and tried the fluval e series. Was very disappointed with this. Im tempted to go for another rena smart heater but was wondering which other ones were recommended.

I recently set up another tank and decided to try out the Visi-Therm heater. I think it's one of the better heaters I've ever bought and they do have a good reputation. I like the way the whole tube is protected by a plastic caging to prevent it accidentally getting knocked and damaged during tank maintenance. It's also very easy to set to the required temp, with a clearly visible red marker system you can check at a glance.

As it's only been running for about a month, I can't say anything about the longevity of this heater but am hoping it won't let me down! Have tried so many of the other brands, a few of which didn't last long at all, or were very temperamental.

So far, the Visi-Therm is doing a good job at maintaining a constant temp, so no complaints from me about it at present.

NeWatt as first choice, because they are not glass. Visitherm as second, they're the most reliable I have ever used, but are glass.

Thank you, I will have a look into those ones. I do have a rena smart heater and have never had any problems with this either. To much choice to be honest.
