Heater Recommendations Please

Recently the heater that came with my Jewel 180 tank went wrong and cooked all my fish. I currently have a standby smaller model which is doing the job at the moment but I wouldn't want to rely on it long term.

I would be grateful for any recommendations for nice, reliable heaters! and also suppliers.

I have 2 50w heaters in my 180 Vision tank.

Visitherms are tried and tested, so origional heaters that are 30+ years old are still running Electronic heaters are more likely ot fail off, which is a considerable advantage IMO When Vivitherms do eventually fail., it will likely be in the on position. If this is true in parctice, I don't know.... Of the 6 Visitherm owners I know (myself included), none have had a failure

Hi I would seriously recommend the new Rena Smart heater they are brilliant, they are a bit more expensive but are worth it. see the link to an image of one below:

Definitely Visitherm; five year guarantees aren't to be sniffed at. Never had a second's problem with mine (had it four years now).
