my thermal compact heater just went poof yesterday when i was doing a water change
i usually dont unplug it because its usually fine even if its out of the water for a few minutes, but this time it was covered in algae and this other crud. i smelled something burning and i looked over at my heater and the stuff on the heater was smoking, then i heard a pop, and it was all over. right now my fish are all in like 65F water and seem to be doing fine. i got 2 corys, 4 betta, and 2 adfs in there. do i really need a new heater if they all are acting normal? which would you suggest if i do need one, i was thinking about trying something new. im probably going to buy another thermal compact if nothing strikes me eye though
