Hey everyone,

So today I went out and bought a Marineland Eclipse 3 gallon tank for my betta, and I plan on keeping a few live plants in there for him as well. The only thing I am unsure of at this point is the heater; I've been doing some research and I'm hearing things from both ends: 10watt and below heaters generally do not heat the water enough, and 25watt + heaters have the potential to overheat the water :X

So I've sort of "narrowed it down" to these two models:

I know that the ambient temperature of the dorm room currently is about 70-72F, but that may also change a bit when I move back home in a month, which is why I'm leaning towards the first option since it is adjustable.

What do you guys think I should do?

Thanks for the help!

Personally I'd go for the 1st one because I have a preset one, not that one, but it's preset to 78 or 79 and only heats my 5 gallon to about 76.

Alright great thanks, hopefully they carry that one in stores, if not I'll just go with any 25 watt adjustable.
