Hi all

I've been noticing over the last few days that my tanks temp has been creeping up! So I have been turning the heater down to offset the rising temp. I have now come to the conclusion that my heater is kaput as it is at it's lowest setting and won't turn down any further, but my tanks temp is now 31c!!!!

I've just sent the OH to my LFS to buy a new heater. My question is will it be safe to set the new heater at 24c and let the temp fall naturaly, or will that stress the fish too much? I could set the heater to match the temp then turn it down gradually myself. I just don't know which would be best for the fish!

The fish are:
Neon tetras x11
Bala shark x1
Silver dollars x2
Sepae tetras x9
Glowlight tetras x5
Plec x1

Any advice appreciated

Set the heater to what you want the tank to be, the temp will lower gradually, wont stress the fish as it will take a while to drop.
