I have a male betta in a 2.5 (US) gallon tank. Got him this summer when the room temperature was 76-78F. Now it is cooling off and I think he needs a heater. In the winter we keep the house cool, around 66F. The mini-heaters rated for this tank size don't have a thermostat you can control, they are "automatic" and I would rather be able to adjust if necessary. The bigger heaters have adjustment but the smallest I found in a store is 25 watts and what if it can't be turned down low enough for this tiny tank?? Would welcome advice and experiences from anybody else that has been thru this already.

i had that size in a 1 gallon, emergency tank, so you`ll be fine with it
yep. the lowest setting on most of those heaters is fine in a very small tank. As long as the room temp is low, they work really well.

Hey there, I have a 25W in a 30L (about 6-7gallon) so you'll be fine, it keeps it heated nicely.
