Heated Cable

can this be used in my 4gallon tank instead of a normal heater?

that way when i divide it in half both sides will still be heated?

I don't see why it wouldn't work as all you are doing is heating the water. The filter should circulate the water and spread the warmth.

i have a fluval 1 in his tank, and altho its not massive it still takes up a fair bit, as does the heater

thats why i wanted the heated cable

just posted it hear to gather thoughts and opinions before i did it

Is it the reptile kind that goes underneath the tank? I use that and I love it. You can control how much it heats the tank by how many times it runs underneath... just experiment a little, either with no fish or when you're home and can watch the temperature.

no its a heated cable that goes under the sand in the tank

think id would be better to give dave more space
