Heache Removing Fish

hello i have 3 tiger bars that are starting to aggrivate me. there eating all my new plants and its only 2 of them. there eating ht eleaves down on my anubias nana. does anyone know a good way to get them out? when my parrots got to big for my tank it was bad enough chasing them around for 2 hous then i said heck with it. the only way i find easy getting fish out of a tank is so much work i have to take all th ewater out of fish tank so that there layign on stones pretty much with just a littl ewater and take them out there so fast then have to refill tank back up again.

i have tryed that trick getting them at dark the #41#### fish dont get blinded at all and now the 3 tiger barbs have to go and there even faster and smaller then my parrots. so does anyone have any advice on how to get them out without draining all the water? i even tryed cornering them that dont work the tanks a 36 g bow front so i m sure that makes it harder

Try using two nets; a large one that you hold still and a smaller one that you use to chase them into the large one..

Or, you could try putting a largish net in the tank and leaving it there for a while, then using it to scoop the fish up at feeding time.

Moving slowly and having patience is the key; just chasing them round and round with a net is stressful for the fish (and for you! )

use 2 nets as suggested above, lower the water level giving the fish less chance of missing the net and gently steer them 1 at a time towards the bigger net. when they are in the net trap the net against the side of the tank and let the fish calm down a bit, then put a finger slowly on the glass and the fish will swim away and right into the back of the net making it easier to pull the net out without the fish escaping. take your time as the fish will get extremelt stressed if its chased.

The 2 nets trick is about as good as it gets - just dont chase the fish around as mattlee says as it can really stress the fish out.

Do you have a breeding net at all? I bought a cheap breeding net (small plastic frame with netting that goes around it) that i use if I am catching bigger/hard to catch fish, I simply lay it in place leaving me 2 hands/nets to coax the fish in, once inside I hook the breeding net over the side of the tank and let the fish chill a bit.

okay will give that a try hoperfully its just the barbs eating my plants and not my rainbows other eise i would have no fish after i get rid of my plants since i have mostly rainbows and 4 small cory cats and 1 med cory cat
