I recently posted about Kamiko, my sick betta. I have been treating him for fungus and fin rot - as well as adding stress coat and salt. His fins were starting to clamp towards the ends and he lost alot of colour and went very lethargic, but he was still eating really well. Then last thursday he took a nose dive and I thought he'd be dead by the morning - no interest in food, sitting at the top the whole time with his nose out for air, very fluffy and grey. But, he is still here... somehow. I bought Melafix at the weekend, and have been treating him daily, he seems to have got a little colour back and he is eating better, but his fins are so badly clamped and he still looks like he is at deaths door. I added a small airstone and moved his tank to a darker corner... and I am watching him all the time, but there just seems to be no improvement. Surely the treatment should be 'curing' the fungus?? And what about his fins? When I show him a mirror, one side of his 'collar' comes out, but that seems to be all he can do, and I don't leave it there for longer than a few seconds. His water parameters are fine.
Does anyone know what I should do? It's like I am waiting for him to die, and I can't take it.

but the actual physical symptoms don't seem any better. I'll look for the one you mentioned. Thanks.
