Nice shot SH. Do u feed or add additives for him? Or does he filter on his own?

Is that yours? Its cool.............

very nice, i love salt water... too expensive for me tho :X

It definitely IS more expensive than FW, although, initial layout for a FW 46G BF was pretty close to getting a NC and LR, etc. Adding corals is the killer. If you keep it small and do fish only, you could keep your costs down. Corals are the expensive addition to the tank besides the live rock. SH

yep the corals are my most expensive part of the reef hobby! thankfully i don't have kids so i can spend my money on my reef instead :D

very beautiful! btw, may i ask how much you got it for and if it was purchased locally or online? i've been looking for one locally but can't seem to find any. may have to resort to an online purchase and cry at the cost of overnight shipping!

Hi..my LFS had 3 or 4 of them ....they cost about $14. If you are looking for an online place to purchase them, liveaquaria.com has been very reliable for me. I've had multiple purchases with them all with good results. SH

wow thats the second awesome amirne pic!! i wanna go salt!!! but then i dont and then i do!!! arrrggghhh need anotehr ten tnaks

I hear ya Pony...it's tough to make that jump. It's definately a totally different world..but...great creatures and colors. The nano tank at my lfs pushed me from FW to start a marine. I thought the tank had plastic lighted ornaments in there until I realized it was real color fluorescing under the lights. Blew me away. It's hard to believe that the picture above is an animal waving those things in the current to get food. It covers itself in a parchment-like tube for shelter and retracts when it senses pressure/threat. If you grab it to move, you can feel it contract into the tube...a very strange sensation. SH

yay! i finally got my hawaiian today at aquatraders for $10. it's a beaut! looks like yours but the dark brown is maybe a little darker.

WTG Veen...let me know how you make out with it and what you decide to feed it. SH

yeah i'm having that problem - i feed the tank cyclop-eeze, f1 & mysis. i targeted it with cylop-eeze but couldn't tell if it actually ate it. do you think cyclop-eeze is small enough for a feather? i saw some liquid phyto i could buy, but am not sure if it's what a feather eats.
