I have had to move my 40 gallon tank to mu outhouse, it's not an outhouse to be precise but more like a glass house connected on the side of the kitchen. It's great for tomatoes etc.
But very hot in the summer (i know algae but i am addresing that) but down to a good 3C or could be lower.
Last night for the first time it dropped from 79 down to 70.
Tonight i shall turn the heater up but this could be a pain as in the daytime even in Winter it can go up to. But this morning it has already risen to 74 and it's only 9AM, by 1pm it could be up to 79 again.
So getting to up the heater to possibly 86 at night and then back down to 79 in the morning is going to be rediculous and ver stressful for them.

Does anyone have this problem or did have.Even with a higher watts it will be the same principle.

Or is it 9am and my brain is not up to speed here

I'm guessing that you have no where else to put the tank?? If you really must try this, what you could do is buy another heater and timer. Set the first heater to the daytime temp and plug it in normally. Then set the second heater for 86 and plug it in to the timer so it only turns on at night and off near morning hours. That way you'd also have the first heater kicking on when the temp gets below it's set temperature. You'd have two heaters at night. Just a thought for you :good:
