Aquarium that would not come clean?

and I'm still talking about the white film.
I have used the hot white vinegar. Have used lime away and a razor scrapper and it will not come off!
This is really getting to me. I added a dark blue background thinking it would not show and it made it stand out worse. So i broke the tank down and started cleaning it again- three hours ago with no luck....
:grr:

What is it exactly on the glass? An identifiable substance? You could try a diluted bleach solution and good dousing of water with an over dose of dechlorinator.

I bought the tank last week used from a discus breeder. I have used everything know to man to try and get the white deposit off. Told the tank 5 mins ago I'm going to melt you. The white cloud it still there after 5 to 6 hours od scrubbing.

Are you sure it is something on the glass surface and not that the glass itself has been scratched or etched? I know some of my older tanks have marks in the glass that will never come off. They are not surface deposits.

if you are scrubbing a dry tank it will always look milky until you fill it with water

hi I use sandpaper 800, 1000 with water thats how I cleaned my glass before I made my tank good luck
if you use sandpaper and water just be careful not to scratch the glass

Thank you. I'm going to try that next. The tank Is just plain ugly,i worked on it for two days and nothing came off. I have lost interest in it but love my little 2.5.
