i purchased 3 bolivians so they could get their own pair out of it , 1 of my little females has grown into a male - was quite difficu;lt to sex when i first got them
now the largest male is swimming around constantly with the female - her belly is pinky tinged and she has the birthing tube
they both went nuts at the little male when he swam near them at feeding time and chased him away so he couldn't eat - poor little chap is all pale through shock i think as before now they've all swam around together - so i have now removed him to the 75ltr hex as a temp home until i get all my tanks resorted

not much experience with Rams - i've read a lot but just wondering as the male and female have now become alies and dont want him near them does it mean that they have paired off now

Sounds promising. :)

i'm not expecting any breeding yet but was just hoping that they have paired seeing as they havent bothered with the other male at all before yesterday
he's quite happy being the only non catfish in the 75ltr hex lol
he's so cute and really stuffed his face this morning :) and has got some of his colour back in him so i know i only seen them chase him once but i wonder what has been going on when i'm not there as i've not seen him out and about as much over the last 2 days before i moved him

So he is in his own tank now? He is doing well? I just got a Bolivian ram for my 36 gal tank
. I have wanted one for awhile and I broke down today and got one. She is so cute. I just hope my keyhole does not mind him. I will move stuff around before I add her to the tank.

he's still doing well and eating well - stuffing hes little face - feeding everyday at the moment just to build him up a bit
