My fry just started swimming today. I have them in a 55G tank with there mother (FH) on one side and the dad the texas on the other. The tank is divided by the way. I was wondering how to feed them. They don't really seem to interseted in the food I put in the tank. Also is it a good idea to move the fry to a 10G tank thats cycled? WOuld they have more of a change of living with or without their mother?

well first off.. congratulation on your success!!

about feeding them, you dont have to worry for the first couple of days.. they will feed off of there egg sac that hangs on them.. what to feed.. me i would just grind up the food, pellets that i fed the parents..but blood worms would help them grow quicker..

about moving them to another tank, I wouldnt suggest it..for they are very fragile and might not adapt to changes that quick..

i would take the parents out from them.. for if they are more likely goin to eat them.. sooner or later they will if they havent done so.

again congrats and good luck..hope to see some updates!!
