I'm thinking about buying a 55 gl tank off of someone,
But this person used the tank for reptiles.
Now my question is, Would it be okay to use this tank for my fish as an aquarium?
I'm wondering if the tank would be strong enough to hold all the water?
On yahoo, people are telling me different things,
but I'm thinkin I can trust you guys on this one.

Is it all the same thing, a tank is a tank?
Thanx for your all your help and replies! :)

Im not big on fish yet. just started but have owned spiders and have looked in to other reptiles. but it depends if the tank was build as a reptile tank or just a tank. either way how thick is the glass/plexi... and does it look sealed from the inside all round???

you will need glass of at least 6mm for a tank that size. give the seals a good check too. if the tank is braced across the top, it is a,most defiantly a fish tank, whatever it has n now. but if it is not braced i would avoid it. but if it has a brand name or model marked, that would help too.
