I was wondering if it would be a good idea to hatch some brine shrimp. Right now I feed frozen brine shrimp but I'd like to try hatching some live. What I'd like to know is how much of a difference there would be between frozen and live. Is it worth the trouble?

For nutrision its the same, live from shops can sometimes harbour parasites,

Live is good for funny eaters, personaly i feed frozen as its easyer, i,ve tryed growing them but cant seam to do it.

You would only hatch brineshrimp nauplii to feed to fish fry, rearing them to any sort of size is a lot of bother. Do you mean just to hatch them and feed them to your fish (small varieties) or are you suggesting rearing them to adulthood.
Hatching brineshrimp is easy but rearing is another matter.

I don't have any fry, I just wanted to hatch them and feed my adults. It would be nice if I could buy them live, but as far as I know lfs in Canada are not allowed to sell them live. I think I'll just stick with frozen. Thanks everyone. :)
