Hi guys
I'm currently still into my fishless cycle and just want to get a few ideas of plants I can have that won't require co2 or fertiliser and would be readily available from most LFS. I'm not sure if my lights are up to the job either. Here is the spec of the lighting (pasted from website):

The Roma 90 Aquarium and Cabinet by Fluval is equipped with:
Fluval GLO lighting unit,
One Power-Glo Fluorescent Aquarium Tube 15W 45.72cm (18in) T8
One Aqua-Glo Fluorescent Aquarium Tube 15w 45.72cm (18in) T8

I have a sand substrate and will eventually have some bog wood in there as soon as its soaked for a while. I would also like some tall plants to go at the back of the tank to have a nice natural look? I am greatful for any suggestions. Thanks

Java fern are very hardy. Make sure you attatch them to wood and don't bury them in the sand :good:
As for tall plants, amazon sword can get very tall, but are a little bit harder than java fern :good:

Would they be suitable with my lighting and would I need to add fertilisers etc?
Can they be planted into sand without anything beneath the sand? Thanks
