Has My Coolie Been Watching "nemo" ?

Been running an Eheim external filter for a year or so, so know what it should sound like... today I heard knocking from it so decided to investigate.

There, circling the media baskets was a coolie loach !!! This is about 3" long and as thick as a pencil...
So, how the hell did it get there ? The inlet has the basket on still, no way the slits are big enough - so it must have swam down the outlet tube, but how did it survive the impellor ?

Filter has not been off for over a month, this is hurting my head ! LOL

Yep, it's happened before to mine too. One survived. One didn't (not a pretty sight ).

The other I discovered a couple of months later (I only clean my external every few months). Looking very pale. Goodness knows how it survived in that grime and gunk in the dark
