This is a fairly new tank, about 2 months in after a 2 month fishless cycle.
I lost 6 Rams within 2 weeks of getting them, but the consensous was they were ill before I got them.
I feed them 3 times a day with different flakes and frozen food. I give them live food 3 times a week.
Probably have a more varied diet than me.

I have read few articles, one saying do nothing, it will go away, another (albeit from a medicine supplier) is get it out and treat it quick. Just wondering weather to play on the side of caution and just get rid.

Any help would be appreciated. Details of setup below

You could issolate the fish and do some water changes on the main tank for a few days.
If not just treat the whole tank, but increase aeration as the meds reduce 02 in the tank.
Don't forget to removed black carbon if you use it.
Good luck.

I feel really guilty, I managed to catch the fish and I have disposed of it. I really did not want to take any chances.
But on the bright side this has forced me to go out an get a hospital tank for next time.

How did you dispose of him.
Well its your fish but I would of tryed a medication first.
Always best to have a hospital tank then you can quarantine new fish.
