One of my Harlies lost part of its tail for no apparant reason, now he/she has disappeared completely!

Now for problen number 2:

Another of my Harlies has developed this sort of white crust (for the want of a better word) around one eye. No other symptoms, still feeding.

All other fish (see sig.) seem well and just done (another) water test,....Am. 0 Nitrite. 0 Nitrate. 40

Any ideas/help?......please :good:

Never seen anything like it before.
Its definately hard looking and not fluffy.
Is the fish flicking and rubbing on objects.

Not flicking, acting sort of normal :dunno:

Its hard to say what it is.
If there no flicking and rubbing and with the finrot I would treat it as bacterial for now.

Hi Doresy - sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your harlies, how are they now?

After a month (doesn't seem that long!) of the tank being clear of probs, I got 4 more on Friday to get them back up to 8. The 4 I had left seemed fine hanging with the lemons but look great now in a bigger group.

Hope yours are ok!
