Has anybody got any advise on breeding harleqins??? Every time i breed them, the eggs keep going fungus???
Water is ro water ph6 gh2, blackwater tonic and i have placed to bags with peet in them in the tank... I have been conditioning the fish.
Thnaks :byebye:

I've had these spawn quite regular and all I did was introduce a water change a few degrees cooler than that in the tank.

Mine are not very proud and often do it in front of me so I see where the eggs fall. All I do is get a container and scoop up the eggs then put them in a breeding trap to hatch.

You`ll probably find that ure tetras or maybe ure cats are eating the eggs and leaving behind a kind of small fungus where the eggs used to be as this happened loads of times with my kribs eggs down to those darn neons lol so i would look every day and the number of eggs went down until there was nothing but a bit of brown fungus

They are egg depositors, so you might want to try a spawning mop. They also feel safer with plants and shelter, so you should add these if you haven't already.

They are in a tank on there own. Plants are in the tank and marbles.
