Hard Water And Fish

I know that certain fish like certain water hardness but can soft water fish be climatized to hard water and still led healthy lives is there any studies on this.Thanks Pat

Many hardy tank raised species can live in a wide range of ph (affected by carbonate hardness) and permanent hardness (general hardness - carbonate hardness) provided that the water conditions remain consistent. Wild caught fish generally do better in water similar to their native environment.

I don't know of any studies however relating specifically to water hardness, however.
