Are discus as hard as black ghost knifes to take care of? Just wondering because of seeing how hard it is for discus and i am getting a BGK, so just to be aware.

I've never had a discus, myself, due to their reputation of being a delicate and hard to keep fish. They are beautiful, though. :D

i hope that you are not going to put the bgk in with the discus. bgk are rather nasty fish. need to have some type of cover during the day for them. at night is when they do their nasty business. had a friend of mine that had a group of discus. her son was going out of town and did not want to leave his bgk. since he lived quite a ways away, she had him bring it to her house. wiped out all of her discus.

Im not putting him in with discus, just thinking how it was. Better research more then.

Nope not hard at all. Any experienced hobbiest can keep them quite easily. The wild ones require a bit more effort though. A weekly water change and something to soften the water is the basics to keeping them. I would suggest peat pellets added to your filter media to soften your water.

Do BGK's have a grudge against discus? Or any fish at all?

As knucklehead says they are not that difficult to keep the secret is to keep on top of your tankkeeping. Wild discus are harder to get to eat intially but they are worth the effort though their colours can be more muted than their tank breed cousins i don't think you can beat natural beauty.
