A little bit of useless information about easter eggs....

We have Joseph Fry to blame for the annual hollow chocolate egg craze.

He decided to change the art of exchanging brightly handpainted (and real) Pascal egg that had been the traditional way of celebrating Eastertide (birth/new beginnings) since Roman times to exchanging the first hollow chocolate egg in 1873. France and Germany had been making solid chocolate eggs for Eastertide for many years but it was Fry who invented the hollow chocolate egg that could hide presents inside. Cadbury started producing hollow chocolate eggs in 1875.

Cadbury took over Fry in 1935 but even now some of the Cadbury eggs bear the Fry name in tribute to their inventor.

In some central and eastern part of Europe, the traditional handpainted Pascal eggs are still used to celebrate Eastertide.

Happy Easter. Even though I am well over the average age for egg hunts, it’s tradition. My wicked parents stuck an egg inside a cactus. Ended with some scrapes, and I guess I’m sledging to it because my arm is super puffy. but those gummies inside were worth it!

I was trying to do emojis that were Easter related (bunnies, eggs and spring flowers) and the only eggs where those. I would have preferred some coloured eggs but maybe the mods will do that next year (hint, hint)
